On Friday, December 15, the Cedar Valley Detachment paid our final respects to Marine Bob Wheeler. Bob was a proud member of the Marine Corps League for over 20 years, serving as Color Guard Commander for many years. Bob was actively involved in doing funeral ceremonies, parades, and posting the Colors at school events. As a man who kept the Marine attitude and posture daily, Marine Wheeler took great pride in caring for our ceremonial rifles, and many Marines who are in our Detachment today are here because of Bob.
