The Cedar Valley Detachment actively participated in three Memorial Day events over the weekend. On Saturday morning, several Marines placed flags at the graves of Veterans in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. We were accompanied by Boy Scouts from Solon. On Monday morning, we provided the firing detail for the ceremony at All Veterans Memorial Park in Cedar Rapids. Later in the day on Monday, we participated in the firing detail for the ceremony at Sutliff Bridge.
